Kristen has been with Loch Lomond Villa Foundation since March 2012 as Foundation Director, responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Foundation Office, organizing and hosting various fundraising events and campaigns. She strives to help Loch Lomond Villa Foundation reach new heights in providing resident centered care.
Kristen has a Bachelor of Business Degree from the University of New Brunswick with a major in Hospitality and Tourism. She enjoyed working in the Hospitality and Tourism industry with the Hilton Saint John for over 6 years but after completing her Event Management Certification in 2010, Kristen found her passion working and volunteering in the non-profit industry for a number of charities in fundraising events. After a long term illness Kristen received the gift of life from an organ donor in July 2011 with a life saving liver transplant. She shares her story of a second chance at life with many groups and is a strong advocate for Organ Donation in NB and across Canada.
Kristen chairs the NB Chapter of the Canadian Transplant Association and is Treasurer and member of the executive of the NB Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Sharing her skills and experiences, Kristen enjoys helping people and groups in achieving their goals. In her spare time Kristen enjoys indulging in all that nature has to offer, including kayaking, walking and hiking with her dog Marley.
Janel was hired in September 2016 part-time to assist with the administrative tasks associated with managing the Foundation Office as well as assisting with the planning and execution of fundraising events.
Janel is a 3rd year Bachelor of Science student with a major in Biology Psychology from the University of New Brunswick who enjoys reading books, doing yoga, and spending time with her family and friends. She also volunteers for Stepping Stones Centre and Promise Partnership where she helps children excel socially and academically, fueling her passion to help others.
